KAISLEE BROOKLYN BERRY
Okay so I am a bit late updating this, but she is here! She was born April 25, 2011! She was 6 lbs. 11 Oz. and 19 in. long. Everything went well, my platelets were low so it took a little longer to get the epidural than I would have liked but it all worked out okay. Once my water was broken it didn't take long at all! She was having some trouble breathing because she was 3 weeks early so she was on oxygen for awhile. Once she was breathing better she starting moaning so she spent the night in the NICU to keep an eye on her. They said when they are early sometimes they moan, it could be that she was still sruggling to breath or that she had a headache, they don't know for sure. By the next day she was doing better and we were able to see and hold her in our room. I healed up quickly and didn't have any tearing so it was even faster than normal. It was good to have family come visit, and thanks to those who did.
Once we got home and took her in to the doc. two days later, she had a high bili ruben (sp?) count so she was on the lights for 3 nights and 2 days! After all that she wasn't gaining weight like she was supposed too, so we had to keep taking her in to get her weight checked. She is finally doing well and gaining some weight. She is such a blessing to have in our family and we couldn't be happier. We love our Kaislee!!
